Structural Welder/Fitter Openings in Nortnern DE

We are seeking Structural Steel Welders & Fitters to join our fabrication team. This role is essential in producing high-quality structural components for large-scale construction projects, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, high-rise buildings, and commercial structures. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, precision fitting experience, and the ability to work with tight tolerances. As the company transitions to digital workflows, candidates must be comfortable using tablets and computers to access and interpret digital drawings and fabrication plans.

Pay: Up to $30/hour + Weekly Pay!

Shift: Day Shift

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and fit structural steel components using welding, bolting, and other fastening techniques.
  • Use a tape measure with precision down to 1/16th of an inch to ensure accurate layout and fabrication.
  • Operate fabrication tools and machinery including saws, torches, grinders, and drill presses.
  • Ensure all components meet dimensional and quality standards before final assembly.
  • Collaborate with welders, machine operators, and quality control to maintain production accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilize tablets and computers to read digital drawings and work instructions.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks on completed assemblies.
  • Assist with material handling, including loading and unloading steel components.
