Weekends Cleaner information

What is a weekends cleaner?

Weekends Cleaners are cleaning professionals who work primarily on weekends to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene of homes, offices, or public spaces. Their duties typically include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and emptying trash bins, among other cleaning tasks. They may work independently or as part of a cleaning team, and their schedules are often tailored to accommodate clients who require cleaning services outside of regular weekday hours. Weekends Cleaners play a vital role in ensuring that spaces are clean and presentable for the start of the week.

What are the typical responsibilities and expectations for a weekends cleaner, and how is work usually scheduled?

As a Weekends Cleaner, you can expect to handle tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, emptying trash bins, and sanitizing common areas in offices, schools, or commercial buildings. Work is typically scheduled in shifts during Saturdays and Sundays, often outside of regular business hours to minimize disruption. Teamwork is common, especially for larger facilities, and you may coordinate with supervisors or other cleaners to ensure all assigned areas are covered. Punctuality, attention to detail, and the ability to follow specific cleaning protocols are highly valued in this role.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a weekends cleaner, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Weekends Cleaner, you need attention to detail, reliability, and basic knowledge of cleaning procedures, with most roles requiring minimal formal education. Familiarity with cleaning equipment, safe use of chemicals, and sometimes certification in health and safety standards are typically expected. Strong time management, self-motivation, and communication skills help cleaners efficiently complete tasks and coordinate with supervisors or clients. These skills ensure a consistently clean and safe environment, meeting hygiene standards and client expectations.

Job description

Description:

Got a thing for smoky, saucy, fall-off-the-bone BBQ? So do we. Rib Crib is looking for a Cook who's ready to jump in, work hard, and help us keep it saucy for every guest who walks through the door.

No pitmaster experience? No problem. We'll teach you the smoker — you bring the hustle.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Prepping, cutting, and smoking meats and poultry like a rising pit boss
  • Keeping the kitchen moving — from prep to plate, fast and clean
  • Hustling pans, trays, and containers between stations, smokers, and coolers
  • Keeping your station spotless (a clean kitchen is a happy kitchen)
  • Jumping in wherever the team needs you — we win together
What You Bring
  • Availability nights and weekends (this is a must!)
  • A strong work ethic and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Ability to follow recipes and prep instructions
  • A positive attitude and a team-first mindset
  • BBQ experience is a huge plus — but not required. We'll train the right person!
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs regularly (occasionally up to 80 lbs)
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler's Permit where required
Why Rib Crib?
  • Be part of a fun, fast-growing team that takes pride in great BBQ and great service
  • Learn real cooking skills — smokers, grills, fryers, and more
  • Work in a place where teamwork isn't just a buzzword, it's how we operate
Requirements:

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  1. Capable of reading kitchen prep books and manuals as required to prepare food recipes.
  2. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once.
  3. Proficient use of restaurant equipment including but not limited to such things as convection ovens, grills, fryers, smokers, steam tables, microwaves, etc.

Education & Experience: Six months previous job-related experience as determined by management. Certifications/Licenses: Food Handler’s Permit where applicable.

Physical & Mental Requirements: • Position requires the employee to perform most of the work from a standing position for long periods of time frequently walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, cutting, carrying, kneeling, or stooping. • Work may occasionally involve periods of lifting up to 30 pounds with occasional lifting not to exceed 80 pounds.
