Position Summary:
Vinson Hall (VH), a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in McLean, VA, is seeking a reliable, team-oriented Porter to support our Environmental Services team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining clean, organized, and safe common areas and facilities for our residents, staff, and visitors.

Requirements
  • Previous experience in janitorial, porter, or facilities support preferred
  • Ability to lift and move items safely (equipment, supplies, furniture)
  • Strong attention to detail and reliability
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain common areas, resident rooms, and other assigned spaces
  • Move, deliver, and set up furniture, equipment, or supplies as needed
  • Assist with trash removal, recycling, and proper disposal of waste
  • Ensure hallways, entrances, and work areas are safe and free of hazards
  • Respond to requests from residents, staff, and departments promptly
  • Support special events or activities with setup and breakdown as needed
  • Maintain cleaning equipment and report maintenance needs
