Job Title: Housekeeping Weekend Supervisor
Department: Environmental Services / Housekeeping
Reports To: Administrator, Director of Operations, or Housekeeping Manager

Position Summary

The Housekeeping Weekend Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all housekeeping operations during weekend shifts. This position ensures that resident rooms, common areas, offices, and facility grounds are maintained in a clean, sanitary, and safe condition. The supervisor provides leadership to housekeeping staff, monitors performance, conducts inspections, and ensures compliance with facility policies, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise and direct housekeeping staff during weekend shifts.

Assign daily work schedules and cleaning assignments.

Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces.

Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and sanitation procedures.

Train, coach, and assist housekeeping employees in proper cleaning techniques.

Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, and job performance.

Address employee concerns and report disciplinary issues to management.

Ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available and properly maintained.

Maintain housekeeping records, inspection logs, and supply inventories.

Report maintenance, repair, and safety concerns to the appropriate department.

Assist with housekeeping duties as needed to ensure completion of daily tasks.

Respond promptly to resident, family, and staff requests related to housekeeping services.
