Description
Almost Anything, Big R's Got It!, and we want YOU to join the Big R Team. We have a relaxed work environment and want individuals with a strong work ethic and a drive to make a difference. These individuals will be responsible for working in multiple retail departments as needed, including, but not limited to: greeting customers and providing outstanding customer service, stocking/organizing shelves, operating computers, and processing sales transactions. Must be able to work weekends with a rotating schedule.
Requirements
  • General knowledge of all departments product is desired.
    • Departments include: Cashier, Sporting Goods, Tack and Pet, Hardware, Automotive, Clothing, Boots & Accessories, Yard, Receiving
  • Provide friendly and helpful customer service at all times.
  • Possess a positive attitude and professionalism.
  • All associates are expected to conform to the scheduled work hours and shifts set by Store Management.
  • Must be capable of working on their feet for long periods of time, and capable of standing, walking, bending and/or kneeling, consistently throughout the workday.
  • All associates should be capable of pushing, pulling and/or lifting up to 30 pounds without assistance consistently and sometimes 50 pounds throughout the workday.
  • Some positions require the applicant to be at least 18 or at least 21 years of age to adhere to Background Check requirements and/or become Forklift Certified.
    • These positions are specifically for the Yard and Receiving - 18 yrs, Sporting Goods - 21yrs.

Additional Responsibilities (not all inclusive):
  • General cleaning and upkeep of all areas of the store.
  • Answer phones, 2-way radio calls, make announcements over PA system, with clear, pleasant and professional methods of communication.
  • Computer & Point of Sale system knowledge to include processing transactions, product lookup, and inventory verification & availability.
