Job description

The receptionist is responsible for providing general office support with a variety of clerical activities including but not limited to customer service, answering and directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution and requisition of supplies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answers and directs the callers to the appropriate associates directing to voicemail and taking messages when required.

  • Greets and directs visitors to the company.

  • Provides callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website, and other related information.

  • Receives sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications.

  • Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

  • Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.

  • May also assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.

  • Applies โ€œ5 Starโ€ customer service approach in all aspects of job.

  • Actively supports Bear Mountain commitment to providing โ€œ5 Starโ€ service on all quality objectives, with an emphasis on continual improvement.

  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

  • Reports to the appropriate managers any known or suspected violations of policy and procedures, regulations or standards of conduct.

  • Performs additional duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience and/or training preferred

  • Strong organizational skills required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess exceptional interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignments.

  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office and other software programs. Demonstrated keyboarding skills required.
