We re Austin originals, founded by Austinites and UT alumni. After launching our first Austin location in Mueller, we re expanding to South First Street and beyond.

We re fine fast casual, which means we deliver elevated dining without the stuffiness. Guests order at the counter, grab their own drinks, and pick their perfect spot or enjoy full service at the bar with handcrafted cocktails, local beer, and a tidy wine list. Add in our chef-driven seasonal menu and coffee program that rivals Austin's best cafes, and you've got something truly special.

What does being a Cashier mean to us?

Because we're counter service, our cashiers are so much more than people behind a register they're the heart of our front-of-house team. From taking orders to running food, making drinks, and greeting pups on the patio with water and treats, every moment is about delivering exceptional hospitality. Our FOH team sets the tone for the Dish Society experience.

Cashiers start at $15/hour during training, and once you're fully trained, you'll earn base pay plus tips. This role offers flexibility, growth, and a chance to truly shine in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Roles & Responsibilities:


As a Cashier, you will:

  • Greet and engage with guests, creating genuine connections and providing top-notch service.
  • Take guest orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience.
  • Cross-train and perform duties across all FOH roles, including food running, barista tasks, and basic bar service.
  • Assist with stocking, cleaning, and maintaining an organized workspace throughout the shift.
  • Pre-buss and reset tables to maintain a clean and inviting dining environment.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive atmosphere.
  • Be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed (think restocking supplies, carrying trays, or helping set up catering).
  • Respond quickly to guest needs or issues, resolving them with professionalism and care.
  • Support sustainability initiatives and community involvement by embodying our values.
