About the Role
$1,250 Sign-On Bonus Available for Eligible New Hires!The Weekend Shift Welder (FridayโSunday, 6:30 AM โ 6:30 PM) plays a critical role in ensuring continuous production of high-quality welded components during weekend operations.
This position is responsible for performing precise welding tasks that meet strict safety and quality standards, directly contributing to manufacturing efficiency and product reliability. The welder works independently or as part of a team to interpret blueprints, select appropriate welding techniques, and complete assignments within required timeframes.
This role helps minimize downtime by supporting urgent welding needs and ongoing production outside of standard weekday operations while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality.
Schedule
Weekend Shift: FridayโSunday, 6:30 AM โ 6:30 PM
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder with MIG, TIG, and arc welding proficiency
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong understanding of welding safety standards and practices
- Availability to work weekend shifts consistently
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Certified Welder or equivalent certification
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of metal fabrication and assembly processes
- Familiarity with welding inspection tools and NDT methods
- Ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and troubleshooting
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG, TIG, and arc welding on metal components per specifications
- Inspect welded joints for quality and make necessary adjustments
- Maintain welding equipment and report any malfunctions
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production goals
- Support weekend production priorities and urgent fabrication needs
Skills
Welding proficiency is essential for producing strong, accurate welds that meet engineering and safety standards. The ability to read blueprints ensures each job is completed correctly and according to specification.
Safety awareness is critical in maintaining a secure work environment, especially during weekend operations with limited oversight. Preferred experience with certification, inspection tools, and troubleshooting enhances quality control and reduces downtime.
