We are a long-established heavy industrial manufacturing and machining operation supporting industries such as mining, energy, wood products, marine, and steel production. Our team specializes in precision fabrication, welding, machining, and large-scale repair work that keeps critical infrastructure running across the region. We are looking for an experienced welder who takes pride in producing high-quality work and contributing to a safe, team-oriented environment.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled **Welder **to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for a welder with strong fabrication and welding experience who can work independently from blueprints, produce quality welds, and support heavy industrial manufacturing and repair projects.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG, Flux Core, Stick welding in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Fabricate, fit, and weld structural steel and heavy industrial components to specification.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, torches, grinders, and other fabrication tools.
  • Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards and specifications are met.
  • Perform grinding, gouging, cutting, and finishing work as required.
  • Safely rig, move, and position heavy materials using overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
  • Maintain welding equipment and work area in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Assist with shop projects and perform other fabrication duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Positive attitude, dependable attendance, and commitment to workplace safety.
  • 2 years of industrial welding and fabrication experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in MIG, Flux Core, and Stick welding; TIG experience is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
  • Experience working with structural steel, heavy plate, and large fabricated components.
  • Knowledge of rigging and safe use of overhead cranes.
  • Ability to use grinders, torches, and common fabrication equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding work throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
  • AWS welding certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in heavy industrial manufacturing, mining, steel, marine, or repair environments.
  • Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
  • Ability to fit and fabricate components with minimal supervision.
