Electrician

???? Location: Graceville, FL
???? Shifts: 12 hr.-Day, Night (Mon-Fri) AND Weekend (Fri-Mon) Shifts
???? Pay: Starting at $20.00+/hour, Based on Experience
???? Shift Differential: Additional Pay for Night & Weekend Shifts


As an Industrial Electrician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the electrical systems that keep our sawmill operating safely and efficiently. You'll troubleshoot electrical issues, install and maintain industrial equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and work alongside our maintenance team to minimize downtime. Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor

What You'll Do

  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and production equipment.
  • Inspect electrical components and identify equipment requiring repair or replacement.
  • Install and replace electrical components, wiring, conduit, motors, sensors, and control panels.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Measure, cut, assemble, strip, splice, and terminate electrical wiring and conduit.
  • Troubleshoot electrical failures using appropriate testing equipment and diagnostic tools.
  • Perform repairs and adjustments to electrical circuitry and electronic components.
  • Install new equipment and assist with machinery upgrades and plant improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication when needed.
  • Track labor, repair parts, and downtime using work orders and the maintenance management system.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and action planning initiatives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial electrical experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motors, controls, and production equipment.
  • Working knowledge of National, State, and Local Electrical Codes.
  • Ability to read electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Experience using electrical testing equipment and troubleshooting electrical systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong math, reasoning, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced industrial environment.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Lift, push, and pull heavy materials and electrical equipment safely.
  • Work in hot, cold, dusty, noisy, and industrial environments.
  • Work around energized equipment while following strict safety procedures.
  • Perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, electrical testing devices, and lifting equipment.
