Position Summary:
This position operates independently and does not direct the work of other maintenance personnel. Work will be done collaboratively with the maintenance team and there may be some management of contractors based on business needs. This is a hands-on role responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and operational duties to support facility equipment, buildings, and grounds. The role ensures that all physical assets are safe, functional, and maintained to support overall business operations and objectives
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities & Equipment Maintenance
  • Perform routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify maintenance needs
  • Diagnose issues and complete repairs related to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical systems
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on facility equipment, including forklifts, scissor lifts, trailers, and shop machinery
  • Maintain and service small equipment such as golf carts, scooters, and power tools

Grounds & Property Upkeep
  • Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, lawn care, weed control, and general property cleanup
  • Perform seasonal maintenance such as gutter cleaning, gravel grading, and pothole repair
  • Ensure overall property appearance, safety, and functionality across multiple areas

Safety & Compliance
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, equipment, and facilities
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain clean, organized work environments
  • Report safety concerns and maintenance needs to management in a timely manner

Operations & Support
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or services
  • Maintain maintenance records, complete reports, and track work performed
  • Support various departments as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Limited business travel to assist with larger equipment removal projects

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Experience with hand and power tools required
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Basic knowledge of carpentry, mechanical, and/or metal work
  • Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
  • Valid CDL
  • Fabrication or welding experience is a plus

Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Work will be performed Monday through Thursday, 6:30am to 4:30pm 40 hours per week. Occasional overtime may be required as job duties demand. Some weekends or evenings may be required during the winter months based on weather conditions. Some travel may be required based on business needs.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. Work is conducted both in an outdoor environment and in a heated, air-conditioned shop equipped with engineering controls for fume and particulate recovery
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here must be met by the employee to successfully perform the essential job functions of this position.
This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, twisting, crouching, pulling and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and move items weighing up to 50lbs.
