WAREOUSE WORKER

1st Shift Available- $19/hr.

Job Description

This role supports a high-volume warehouse operation by receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced, refrigerated environment. You will handle kegs and cases, operate material handling equipment, and use RF scanning and an ERP system to ensure accurate inventory control and efficient order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming trucks by assisting with unloading used raw materials and kegs.
  • Stage incoming materials using appropriate material handling equipment and organize them for stocking.
  • Stock kegs and other products in designated warehouse locations, ensuring accurate placement.
  • Use an RF scanner to identify pallets, verify product information, and confirm storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Operate a stand-up forklift to move pallets safely throughout the warehouse and to the shipping area.
  • Load and unload shipping trucks, ensuring pallets and packages are properly handled and secured.
  • Pick products, including kegs and cases, from refrigerated and dry storage areas to build accurate orders.
  • Prepare and pack products for shipping, including palletizing kegs and cases according to shipping requirements.
  • Handle and maneuver kegs weighing up to approximately 170 lbs and lift cases up to 35 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Work in a very fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, safety, and attention to detail.
  • Use basic computer skills and an ERP system (EO Star) after training to support inventory tracking and order processing.
  • Apply solution-oriented thinking to determine the best way to correctly locate, move, and organize materials in the stockroom.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, both verbally and via email, to coordinate tasks and resolve issues.
  • Stay proactive in finding tasks and remaining productive during slower periods without constant direction.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and multitask as needed to support production, warehouse, and shipping activities.
  • Follow all warehouse safety procedures and guidelines when using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Ability to lift cases up to 35 lbs and maneuver kegs up to approximately 170 lbs throughout the shift.
  • Previous forklift experience, with stand-up forklift experience preferred and the ability to operate safely in a warehouse environment.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn and use an ERP system (EO Star).
  • Ability to read and write English to follow instructions, complete documentation, and communicate with the team.
  • Basic math skills to handle counts, inventory checks, and order verification.
  • Solution-oriented mindset to determine how to correctly locate, move, and organize materials in the stockroom.
  • Proactive work approach and the ability to stay busy without constant supervision.
  • Self-starter attitude with the ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptability and ability to multitask while managing changing priorities.
  • Strong verbal and email communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Comfort working in a refrigerated environment around 35 degrees while locating product and pulling kegs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry is preferred.
  • Experience in warehouse distribution, loading, picking, and packing is beneficial.
  • Experience operating stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is an advantage.
  • BG in production or food industry environments is helpful.
  • Strong focus on safety and attention to detail when handling heavy products and operating equipment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a warehouse environment that supports a fast-paced distribution and production operation. You will regularly work in a refrigerated area at approximately 35 degrees when locating products and pulling kegs for palletizing, as well as in standard warehouse conditions for staging, stocking, and shipping. The role involves frequent use of material handling equipment such as stand-up forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, along with basic computer and ERP system usage. The schedule follows a first-shift pattern, Monday through Friday, from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with regular opportunities for overtime of about one hour before or after the scheduled shift. The environment is active and physically demanding, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
