The
Mechanical Engineer 1 designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components and sub-systems, product, equipment, and machinery. Also assists with product pilot, debug, and production launches.
Are You Looking To:
- Develop and analyze product designs for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements and related specifications
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products for Ethernet and other networking applications.
- Design and implement mechanical products using various CAD and CAE tools, such as Creo 3d, SolidWorks, and Altium.
- Design module and box based ethernet products, where electrical PCB and mechanical housing fit seamlessly together in various configurations, all while being easy to assemble and robust in the field.
- Design module enclosures that meet various FCC and UL electrical emission and immunity specifications.
Are You Ready To:
- Work with various tooling and molding suppliers to provide with value added quality parts at reasonable costs. Also work with suppliers to correct issues or make quality or cost improvements.
- Evaluate and implement design changes, specifications, and drawing releases
- Participate in the internal ECN/ECR system to release products to production and make controlled revision updates.
- Provide support for tooling and fixturing design for in-house use, enabling the production team to make consistent quality products, reducing operator variation.
- Conduct product testing and create models and prototypes using 3d printer
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or similar degree from a four year college or university
- 1-3 years of related experience, designing custom pieces parts and assemblies.
- Self-learning, task oriented, good interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge and proficiency with a variety of mechanical and electrical components.
- Experience with Form 4 or similar 3d printer setup and control a plus.
What You'll Get:
- Compensation range of $70,000 to $104,000. The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
