What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement monitoring, automation/configuration management, and reporting functions for automated environments.
  • Design, install, configure, manage, and maintain internal servers, virtual machines, networking, storage devices, and firewalls.
  • Adhere to change management processes, incident response, and testing methodologies for modifications to systems and software, including anticipating, mitigating, identifying, responding to, troubleshooting, and resolving issues.
  • Document, address, and resolve all customer incidents, problems, and requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform regular systems maintenance, including operating system and application patches, updates, and performance monitoring.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation related to new and existing systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by understanding and addressing customer needs and expectations through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Mentor junior team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments, and contingency plans, including disaster recovery and business continuity planning, testing, and response.
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures.
  • Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies and occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Assist with hardware and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing supporting documentation and evidence.
  • Interact with staff at a technical level as required.

  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing monitoring, automation, and configuration management solutions.
  • Proficiency in designing, installing, configuring, managing, and maintaining servers, virtual machines, networking, storage, and firewalls.
