Job description

About theCut

At theCut, our crazy growth has been fueled by word of mouth and an incredible product supported by a world class team. We're hiring a Content Creator to help us build our building and continue bringing the premier barbershop experience to the masses. The plan is to go from tens of thousands of new users to millions, so you'll need to be a creative, quick on your feet, and a world class executor.

The Role

We're looking for a Content Creator to join theCut on a contract basis. This role is responsible for recording, editing, and delivering content on an ongoing basis in close collaboration with our internal team. The specific content format and direction will be provided directly by theCut. What matters most is your craft, consistency, and reliability in bringing ideas to life from start to finish.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role for someone who's comfortable owning a full production process from capture to final, polished delivery without needing heavy oversight.

What You'll Do
  • Record content according to direction and briefs provided by theCut
  • Edit raw footage/material into polished, on-brand final deliverables
  • Deliver finished content to theCut on agreed timelines
  • Collaborate with the theCut team on creative direction, feedback, and revisions
  • Maintain consistent quality and turnaround across deliverables
  • Adapt style, pacing, and format based on feedback and evolving brand needs
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience recording and editing content professionally (portfolio or reel required)
  • Strong technical editing skills and an eye for pacing, tone, and polish
  • Comfortable working independently once given direction
  • Reliable communicator who can hit deadlines consistently
  • Flexibility to adapt to briefs that may vary in format and style
  • Based in or able to work in a hybrid capacity with the theCut team
What theCut Provides
  • Equipment needed to fulfill recording responsibilities
  • Creative direction, briefs, and feedback from the theCut team
  • A collaborative, fast-moving environment rooted in barbershop culture
  • Free company swag
  • Free haircuts through theCut
  • Pay range $150 - $200 per video
