Job description


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Set-up and run the feeder on the lithographic printing press based on the specifications of the job.
  • Assist the 2nd Press Operator to hang and/or remove plates.
  • Assist in the make-ready of the printing press for the next job.
  • Take test readings from fountain solution and aqueous coating.
  • Assist the press crew with preventive maintenance activities.
  • Participate in any tasks necessary to allow for continuous operation of the process.
  • Follow all Plant Safety rules and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitor the level of quality in the products being produced.
  • Comply with all safety and food safety standards.

Required Skills

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude/skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to understand technical written and verbal instructions
  • Ability to accurately distinguish color variation
  • Capable of safely operating roll lift trucks.
  • Must be able to work other shifts if needed and perform overtime work as required.
  • Frequent lifting (up to 75 pounds), bending and turning
