Job description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

  • Oversee Youth Academy Training days and assist with field set-up and field care.
  • Serve as onsite point of contact for Youth Academy events.
  • Assist with Youth Academy/Youth Baseball & Softball special events including but not limited to PLAYBALL, tournaments, and try-outs.
  • Proactively communicate with coaches and staff to resolve any issues that may emerge before, during, or after events at the facility.
  • Understanding of the policies and rules of high school baseball and softball. Experience running youth baseball tournaments and/or camps preferred.
  • Oversee gameday operations of RBI league play at the Rangers Youth Academy.
  • Meet with each team's coach and umpires as needed prior to games.
  • Communicate any potential schedule changes related to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Record all scores and final results.
  • Operate Gamechanger for all Nike RBI league play.
  • All other duties assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to perform in fast changing environments.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate well and efficiently to staff, teams and supervisors.
  • Hours of availability on nights, weekends, and potentially holidays.
  • Ability to work outside in extreme weather including heath, cold and rain for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, ush, pull and/or carry up to 50lbs.
  • Must pass drug screening and background check.
  • Must complete compliance training in accordance to MLB's Youth Protection Policy.
