Front Desk Receptionist โ€“ Skilled Nursing Facility

Pay: $18 / hour

Job Type: Full-time

Work Hours: weekend Sat & Sun 8-8

Position Summary: The Front Desk Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for residents, families, visitors, and staff. This role involves managing front desk operations, answering and directing calls, greeting guests, and providing exceptional customer service. The Receptionist will uphold our facility's values, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet residents, families, visitors, and staff with a positive and professional demeanor.

  • Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls promptly, taking messages as needed.

  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including monitoring lobby appearance.

  • Respond to general inquiries regarding facility services and policies.

  • Manage visitor sign-in and adherence to visitor policies, ensuring resident and staff safety.

  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages, distributing them appropriately.

  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, typing and mail sorting.

  • Assist with scheduling appointments and managing calendars.

  • Coordinate with nursing, administrative, and other departments to facilitate smooth operations.

  • Respond promptly to emergency situations by contacting the appropriate authorities, such as 911, fire department, or police, and following established facility protocols to ensure the safety of residents, staff, and visitors.

  • Monitor and control access to the facility, reporting any security concerns as necessary.

  • Candidate will be responsible for completing Medical Records.

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor, and the ability to engage positively with residents, families, and visitors.

  • Familiarity with healthcare or senior living environments is beneficial but not required.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
