Must be available to work a flexible schedule including Days/Evenings/Weekends and/or Holidays.


Salt Lake City Marriott University Park is a beautiful hotel near the University of Utah with gorgeous mountain and city views, modern amenities and an excellent location adjacent to Rice-Eccles Stadium, our hotel provides smart, stylish lodging for business and leisure travelers visiting the Salt Lake City area. Hotel discounts for associates including free shift meals and on-site parking.


Responsibilities:

Greet all guests in a warm and enthusiastic manner and assist host or hostess in seating guests as needed.

Present menu, answer questions, and make suggestions regarding food, service, appropriate wines, and food preparation.

Memorize menu selections and wines including being familiar with daily specials and basic ingredients.

Maintain and follow all cash handling procedures.


Requirements:

Previous guest service experience is required.

Cash handling experience is preferred.

Conveys company information, decision, or problems to appropriate parties on a timely basis.

Works to resolve disagreements and is respectful of guests and co-workers.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule including Days/Evenings/Weekends and/or Holidays.
  • Minimum lifting of 50 pounds.
  • Pushing, bending, stooping, upward reaching, manual dexterity.
  • Hearing, writing, typing.
  • Minimum pulling of 50 pounds.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
  • Must be 21 or older to serve alcohol.
  • Must possess unexpired or obtain a Utah food handlers permit within 14 days of employment.
