The Best Part of a Resident's Day Might Start With You

At Byron Wellness Community, meals are about much more than food. A favorite meal, a warm smile, and a familiar face can bring comfort, connection, and joy to a resident's day. Many of our residents live with dementia, mental illness, behavioral health conditions, or other challenges. A positive dining experience can help them feel valued, supported, and at home. That's why we're looking for Dietary Aides who understand that every meal served is an opportunity to make someone's day better.


What You'll Do

As a Dietary Aide, you play an important role in our residents' quality of life. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing resident meal trays according to dietary instructions
  • Serving food in a friendly, respectful manner
  • Delivering meals, snacks, and supplies throughout the community
  • Assisting with food preparation and meal service
  • Stocking food storage areas and refrigerators
  • Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintaining cleanliness throughout kitchen and dining areas
  • Following food safety and infection control procedures
  • Supporting teammates to ensure smooth meal service
  • Helping create a positive dining experience for every resident

Most importantly, you'll build relationships with residents and help create meaningful moments every day.


Job Type

Full time and part time available.

Morning and evening shifts available.

Every other weekend and rotating holidays required.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with individuals living with dementia, behavioral health challenges, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or other specialized populations.
