Irrigation Tech
JOB TITLE: Irrigation Technician
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are Mon. through Fri. with weekend work as needed.
Reports to: Yardnique
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned property service contract requirements in a timely manner with minimal supervision daily
  • Meet or exceed company maintenance production standards
  • Promote a safe work environment. Thoroughly understand and comply with company policy and safety manual; report and document any / all unsafe conditions or accidents
  • Properly and safely use basic maintenance hand tools and other equipment but not limited: shovel, water hose, quick coupler key, wire tracer, and small machinery.
  • Complete and process all necessary job paperwork that is required when visiting a site.
  • Interact with clients, Account Manager(s), and subcontractors in a professional and courteous manner
  • Able to train others on the job as needed and maintain a high level of morale
  • Work all assigned hours, including weekend and overtime hours as necessary.
  • Fully perform start-up inspections of the irrigation system to include: clock maintenance, backflow, zones, heads, valves, and rain sensor
  • Fully perform system shut-downs of irrigation systems including hooking up air compressors and blowing the lines out, winterizing the backflow, and unplugging the clock and or turning off a water pump.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting techniques and make on-site repairs as necessary. Maintain proper irrigation parts on the vehicle at all times
  • Perform property inspections and complete proper forms in their entirety before leaving the job site
  • Effectively communicate work order and system status to the department head, account manager, and any other parties that require information about the system and property
  • Complete daily paperwork as required by each job, including Tracking and submitting billable and nonbillable hours per job high insight.
  • Perform regular safety inspections on the vehicle
  • Demonstrate integrity and positively promote Yardnique Inc. image at all times

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be subject to strenuous work in adverse weather conditions, as well as exposure to dirt, water, chemicals, noise, etc.

Daily routine travel from the main building to job sites in company trucks and back.
