Job Description
The incumbent is responsible for administering contractual insurance requirements, including the verification and management of certificates of insurance and maintenance of the related database. This position supports the processing of documentation for both first-party and third-party claims involving general liability and automobile liability. The individual also assists with the administration of the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) program, as needed. Additionally, the incumbent supports the management of the Tribe's commercial property insurance program by facilitating the addition and removal of coverage for commercial buildings and traditional chickees. The role includes researching and identifying potential areas of risk exposure, developing recommendations, and conducting safety inspections when necessary. The incumbent is also responsible for entering records into the Risk Insurance Management System (RMIS) and generating analytical reports as required. Associate's degree is required. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working in an insurance environment or office clerical experience performing moderately complex duties related to risk management, personnel or business is required. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License is required. Possession of a Florida 5-20 Adjuster's License is highly preferred. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Demonstrate proficient computer skills working with Microsoft software programs. Ability to travel to all Reservations and to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
