Job description

Kids Above All is seeking a full-time bilingual therapist for our Clinical Program located in our Waukegan office.

Job Summary: This position provides direct clinical diagnosis, treatment planning, and therapy to assigned clients and families. This position will also provide clinical consultation to other programs and staff as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides outreach services, per case plans, as clinically appropriate
  • Review case plans quarterly, and as required
  • Assists in marketing of Clinical Program to possible referral sources
  • Participates in regular clinical consultation, and provides consultation to staff as needed
  • Provides crisis coverage for assigned cases for program per Counseling guidelines
  • Ensure that clients are offered quality, professional services per directives of: Council on Accreditation, NASW Social Work Code of Ethics, the Team, and other recognized groups
  • Follows agency policies and procedures with respect to Program services and management
  • Meets billing requirements
  • Maintains records and statistical reports, as required
  • Recommends psychiatric services for clients as appropriate
  • Refers and consults with all parties
  • Educates and assists client and family with medication management, coordinate collateral therapeutic services
  • Provides clinical training to staff or collateral program a minimum of twice per month
  • Attends hospitals and other staffing

Qualifications:

  • MA, MSW, or ability to become clinically licensed in Illinois
  • LPC, LSW, LCPC,LCSW preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months, internship experience is accepted, direct service experience with similar populations
  • Bilingual required
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion and use sound, and independent judgment
  • Must have a perceptive awareness and responses of children, adolescents, and the capacity to work effectively with adults
  • Ability to work some evenings/weekends hours
  • Must meet and maintain Agency driving standards
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word required
  • Access to insured auto is required.
  • Traveling is required

Salary Range no License: $55,000-$67,000
