Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Resident Wellness Director to lead our Wellness Department and ensure the highest standards of care for residents. This role oversees nursing and care operations, supervises and mentors Wellness team members, coordinates with physicians and families, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and community policies. The ideal candidate is a licensed nurse with strong leadership skills and a passion for fostering a supportive, resident-centered environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily operations of the Wellness Department, ensuring quality resident care.
  • Participate in resident admission, care planning, and discharge decisions.
  • Hire, train, and mentor Wellness team members, fostering a collaborative culture.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee infection control and quality assurance programs.
  • Respond to resident, family, and team member concerns in a timely manner.
  • Maintain EHR with accurate documentation and coordinate with care partners.

Requirements

Education & Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; valid PA/Compact LPN or RN license in good standing required.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care, including supervisory experience.
  • Active Driver's License in good standing. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal skills, and team development abilities.
  • Expert in nursing theory and practice, senior living regulations, and documentation practices.
  • Ability to remain calm and decisive in emergencies.
  • Organized, with strong time management.
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Technologically proficient, especially in Microsoft Office Suite and EHR software. Move-N or CareFeed experience is a plus. 
  • Sound judgement and a strong ethical foundation in decision-making.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally; able to assist with resident transfers.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
