Rate of Pay: $40 – $53, based on experience

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday with rotating weekend

Sedgebrook is recruiting for a hospitality focused Occupational Therapy to join our team! The Occupational Therapist is responsible for providing and directing occupational therapy services to patients which may include pediatric, adult and/or geriatric persons.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides or makes provision for client care in compliance with the American Occupational Therapy Association, physicians' orders, and Clinical Pathways as they become available.
  • Assesses and evaluates client's status by reviewing and implementing the plan of care, regularly re-evaluating client needs revising the plan of care as necessary.
  • Initiates and applies appropriate preventative, therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures and techniques and maintains communication regarding client care with the physician and supervisory personnel.
  • Assesses and provides client and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care.
  • Participates in coordination of occupational services; appropriately reporting the need for disciplines (PT, SN, MSW, ST, Dietitian) to the case manager.
  • Reports change in client status and pertinent clinical findings to the physician, case manager or clinical supervisor as needed.
  • Assists the client with the activities of daily living and facilitates the client's efforts toward self-sufficiency and independence.

Qualifications:

  • MS/OTD in Occupational Therapy or BS with equivalent work experience.
  • Successful completion of State Certification Examination for Occupational Therapy.
  • Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and professional development.
  • Must maintain valid state Occupational Therapy Licensure
