Job description

Benefits:
  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Opportunity for advancement

Location: Jonesboro, GA
Age Groups: 3–13 Years Old
Schedule: Weekends
Position: Childcare Teacher
Phoenix Kids Club is looking for a FUN, energetic, creative, and EXTREMELY interactive Weekend Teacher to join our team!
We want someone who genuinely enjoys engaging with children. Our weekends are an opportunity for kids to relax, have fun, explore their creativity, participate in exciting activities, and enjoy being at PKC.
We are NOT looking for a teacher who simply sits back and watches the kids play.

 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Plan and lead fun, exciting, hands-on activities for children ages 3–13
  • Participate in STEAM projects, arts & crafts, games, challenges, group activities, and special weekend experiences
  • Get on the floor and PLAY, CREATE, TALK, LAUGH, BUILD, and ENGAGE with the children
  • Adapt activities to different ages, interests, and attendance levels
  • Help create activities that make children excited about coming to PKC
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and positive classroom environment
  • Assist with meals, snacks, transitions, hygiene, and daily routines
  • Maintain required classroom and attendance documentation
  • Follow all Phoenix Kids Club policies, licensing requirements, and health and safety procedures
  • Work collaboratively with the PKC team to develop new activities and experiences
ONE CHILD STILL DESERVES THE FULL PKC EXPERIENCE!

Weekend attendance can vary. Some weekends may be busy, while other times you may only have ONE child in your care.

That does NOT mean sitting around, staying on your phone, or waiting for the shift to end.
If one child shows up, that ONE child gets your energy.

Play a game with them. Do a science experiment. Build something. Paint. Create a challenge. Have a dance party. Make slime. Read together. Play outside. Let them help choose an activity.
Whether there are 15 children or just 1, we expect our Weekend Teacher to make their time at Phoenix Kids Club FUN!

We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:

HIGH ENERGY • Creative • Playful • Dependable • Patient • Attentive • Flexible • Positive • Self-Motivated

You should be the type of teacher who can walk into a room and create the fun instead of waiting for the fun to happen.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous childcare, teaching, camp, recreation, youth development, or similar experience
  • Comfortable working with mixed-age groups
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
  • Ability to successfully complete required background checks and employment requirements
  • Strong communication and classroom-management skills
  • Willingness to participate—not just supervise
Phoenix Kids Club
Childcare Done Your Way, Not the Other Way Around.

If you’re the teacher who gets just as excited about the activities as the kids do, we want to meet you!
