Job Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a talented Taxi Crane Operator to operate our fleet of taxi cranes. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating the crane to lift, move, and position materials and equipment at job sites. This position offers the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and be a part of a dynamic team.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate taxi cranes to lift and move materials and equipment on construction sites, industrial facilities, and other locations as needed.
  • Interpret load charts and work orders to determine the appropriate crane configuration and lifting procedures for each job.
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections of the crane to ensure it is in safe working condition and report any defects or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Safely rig loads and attach them to the crane using appropriate rigging techniques and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with ground personnel using hand signals, radio communication, or other means to coordinate crane movements.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to property.
  • Complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on the crane, such as lubrication and minor repairs, to keep it in optimal working condition.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have valid NCCCO certification.
  • Must have a valid CDL for at least 3 years.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience operating taxi cranes or similar equipment.
  • Strong understanding of crane operation principles, load capacities, and rigging techniques.
  • Proficient in industry rigging standards and practices (ASME, OSHA), adept at calculating sling angles and tensions, and skilled in determining center of gravity both mathematically and in the field through comprehensive training and hands-on experience with various materials and weights.
  • Must demonstrate expertise in selecting appropriate rigging capacities and pick points to safely support the load.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing critical lift plans in the field.
  • Capable of accurately adhering to critical lift plans and procedures crafted by the Engineering team.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with others.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and work in confined spaces as needed.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to safety at all times.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required by project demands.
  • Must be willing to travel out of state for extended periods as required by project demands.
  • Must pass fit for duty assessment, drug test, and background check.
