Sr. Business Intelligence developer (Redshift, Data API, SQL)
Location: Piscataway, NJ (Onsite-from day one)
Duration: 6-12 months
Position type: W2 contract

Job Summary:

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst with strong expertise in SQL, data analysis, and experience working with Amazon Redshift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for extracting, transforming, and analyzing large datasets, building data pipelines, and providing actionable insights. Familiarity with Data APIs to facilitate data access and integration is also essential.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
  • Design and manage data models and schemas in Amazon Redshift to support reporting and analytics needs.
  • Perform complex data analysis to identify trendsSQL), patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines, including integration with Data APIs to access external or internal data sources.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver relevant datasets and dashboards.
  • Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Document data processes, schemas, and analytics methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with SQL, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
  • Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift or similar cloud data warehousing solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Data APIs (RESTful APIs, GraphQL, or similar) for data access and ingestion.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration tools.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field preferred.
