Job description

Surgical Tech

Job Title: Surgical Tech

Profession: Surgical Services

Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour; Night 3x12-Hour

Hours per Shift: 12 hours

Experience: Minimum 2 years required, must have Level 2 trauma experience; Level 1 trauma experience strongly preferred

License: BLS required

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NBSTSA

Must-Have: DaVinci experience highly preferred; First-time travelers not accepted

Description: Surgical Tech - Day shift with possible night shift rotation. Please provide interview availability for the next 3-4 days when substituting. Bi-weekly orientation. There is a possibility for off-shifting (1-3 shifts in a week) once every 4-week scheduling period, but there are many times there is no off-shifting. Weeknight call requirements are 1-2 nights per week on average. Weekend call required every 4-5 weekends on average. Block scheduling cannot be accommodated. 30 rooms with 60-80 cases per day. Looking for a well-rounded Surgical Tech as they will be working outside of the specialty hired for. Experience in DIEP Breast Reconstruction, Whipple, Esophagectomy, Ex lap, Bowel resection, Thyroidectomy, Parathyroidectomy, Adrenalectomy-Laparoscopic, Neck dissection, Breast reduction, Stage one and two breast reconstruction, Free Flaps, Mastectomy, Lumpectomy, Sentinel lymph node biopsy, and Melanoma excision is required. 100% nicotine-free facility. Scrubs are provided by the facility. Robotics experience is preferred. This position requires a strong experience base and the ability to adapt to various surgical procedures and environments. Weeknight call is required, along with weekend coverage as needed.
