Surgical Technologist (Operating Room / Scrub Tech)

Location: Hilo, Hawaii

Pay Rate: $ 1,800   To $ 2,000 /Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Variable Shifts | 40 Hours/Week 

Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Hospital Operating Room Scrub Experience Required

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii. This position supports a busy Operating Room by assisting surgical teams across multiple specialties while maintaining sterile technique and ensuring efficient surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is confident scrubbing a wide variety of cases and thrives in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms, sterile instruments, and surgical supplies for scheduled procedures.

  • Independently scrub and assist during General, Orthopedic, Vascular, Ophthalmic, Urology, ENT, Endoscopy, Robotic, Obstetric, and Gynecologic procedures.

  • Maintain a sterile field throughout surgical procedures while anticipating the needs of the surgical team.

  • Assist with patient transport, operating room turnover, and preparation between surgical cases.

  • Complete accurate documentation and collaborate with the surgical team while following patient safety and infection control standards.

Requirements
  • Active Hawaii Surgical Technologist license required by assignment start (license application accepted upon offer).

  • Current BLS (AHA) certification required.

  • Minimum 2 years of recent hospital Operating Room Scrub Tech experience required.

  • Ability to independently scrub multiple surgical specialties.

  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, weekend coverage, holiday coverage, and variable scheduling.
