AspectWeekend SubwayWeekend Bus Driver
Required CredentialsCommercial Driver's License (CDL), transit trainingCommercial Driver's License (CDL), passenger endorsement
Work EnvironmentUnderground or elevated rail stations, subway carsOn-road, bus stops, various routes
Employer & IndustryPublic transit agencies, urban transit systemsPublic/private bus companies, transit services

Both Weekend Subway operators and Weekend Bus Drivers require CDL licenses and transit-specific training. While Subway workers operate underground rail systems in urban environments, Bus Drivers work on-road routes serving different neighborhoods. Both roles are essential for public transportation, often working on weekends and irregular hours. The main differences lie in their work environment and vehicle types, but their skills and certifications overlap significantly.
