Who we are:

Sweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is the nation’s leading street sweeping company, operating in over 20 states and supporting more than 600 municipalities, counties, and government agencies. With over six million miles serviced annually, SCA is uniquely focused on the delivery of high-performance street sweeping, jet-vac, and environmental services. SCA has built its entire organization, its people, processes, technology, and investments around providing uninterrupted, accountable, and results-driven services tailored to the needs of our clients. Our mission is to provide essential sweeping and environmental services that support cleaner, safer, and more sustainable communities.

Your daily impact:

As our next Parking Lot Sweeper, you'll be at the heart of our mission—delivering essential services that help improve public safety and enhance environmental quality. You’ll take ownership of assigned routes including shopping centers and parking lots, drive the parking lot sweeper, and operate specialized equipment to ensure parking areas are clean and well-maintained.

  • Execution: Review assigned routes thoroughly prior to departure. Be proactive in asking clarifying questions if the route or expectations are unclear. Complete assigned jobs within the allotted timeframe while maintaining expected quality and attention to detail.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment safely and efficiently at all times, following all traffic laws, company safety procedures, and site-specific protocols. Exercise additional caution during inclement weather or challenging site conditions.
  • Material Handling: Handle materials safely and securely; Apply correct procedures for material types and disposal sites.
  • Reporting: Report any equipment issues, malfunctions, near misses, crashes, or injuries within 30 minutes or as soon as safely possible. Immediately escalate opportunities, work issues, or safety concerns to management.
  • Professional Communication: Maintain a professional attitude and appearance while representing the company on job sites or in public areas. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients when needed.

  • Adaptability & Problem Solving: Respond appropriately to changes and challenges; identify and solve issues timely.
  • Regular & Predictable Attendance: The ability to consistently report to work on time and as scheduled, with minimal unexcused absences. This includes being present and prepared to work throughout assigned shifts, and reliably adhering to start times, breaks, and end times.

  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Compliance: Must maintain an acceptable driving record and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) check, background check, DOT physical, and drug screening in accordance with Company policy and applicable law.

  • Safety & Compliance Focus: Ability to follow safety procedures, conduct inspections, operate equipment responsibly, and comply with all traffic, site, and regulatory requirements.
  • Operational Execution & Reliability: Strong ability to plan routes, complete work efficiently and accurately, adapt to changing conditions, and maintain consistent, dependable attendance.
