JOB DETAILS
Position Title: Stocker - Smallwares
Department: Smallwares
Supervisor: Smallwares Manager/Supervisor
FLSA: Non-exempt
Position Summary:
The Stocker in Smallwares is responsible for ensuring all products are packed out, stocked, and available to customers at all times. They are responsible for keeping the area clean, organized and safe.
In addition, they must ensure that all customers that enter the area are greeted and assisted in a friendly manner. It is also the employee's responsibility to service any customers that may require assistance selecting and retrieving products from the shelves.
Essential Functions:
  1. Stock product as needed in department (as directed by the Department Manager).
  2. Pack out product as needed (as directed by the Department Manager).
  3. Provide friendly, efficient and professional customer service as customers enter the assigned department.
  4. Assist customers with loading and off-loading of product as needed.
  5. Assists customers with product location and detailed information when needed.
  6. Perform shelf tag maintenance as needed.
  7. Assist with cycle counts as needed.
  8. Keep work area clean, organized and safe.

Other Responsibilities:
  1. Performs other work-related duties as required and assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:
  1. Basic Math skills.
  2. Excellent communication skills.
  3. Ability to provide superior Customer Service.
  4. Familiarity of departmental products.
  5. Flexible work schedule and ability to work overtime as needed.
  6. Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds
  7. Ability to remain standing, walking for 4 hours at a time.
  8. Commitment to company values and strong customer orientation.

Work Environment:
  1. For the most part the ambient temperature will be moderate.
  2. The work is performed standing/walking - must be able to stand/walk for up to 4 hours without a break
  3. Physical labor -
  4. must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50lbs,
  5. must be able to climb and descend up to 15 steps on a step ladder safely while carrying product.
  6. must have the following posture tolerance: reach above shoulder level, twist/turn head, bend over/stoop, and kneel/squat
  7. There will be industrial vehicles (forklifts, HiLo, electric pallet jacks) moving material throughout the warehouse.
