Job Title: SQL Developer with strong MDX Exp
Location: Whippany, NJ
Duration: 6-12 month contract
Detailed Job Description
  1. Candidate needs strong SSRS skills
    1. Understanding of the attributes of the SSRS environment
    2. Understanding of how to efficiently and logically troubleshoot issues
    3. Understanding of different SSRS reporting options
  2. Candidate needs strong SSIS skills
    1. Understanding of Visual Studio and its SSIS attributes
  3. Candidate needs solid MDX skills programming skills (not via Power BI tool)
    1. Other SSAS desirable but not mandatory
  4. Candidate needs strong SSMS skills
    1. Temp tables, indexes, etc.
  5. TFS is desirable

Candidate should possess a 4 year college degree PREFERABLY in IT.
Candidate needs to be a US citizen or possess appropriate status to work legally in the US through 12/31/2021.
Contract is for 6 months extendable to the entire length of the project candidate is working (estimating 10/2021).
Experience level 8-10 years minimum

  • Ensure adherence to department standards, methods and policies
  • Maintains programming skills and current knowledge of application development technology as related to specific technical project assignments

Qualifications

Education:
  • BS/BA and/or 4-year technical degree in computer programming or related computer field or equivalent experience is required

Experience:
  • Minimum 6 years of systems programming experience

Functional/Technical Knowledge

  • An understanding of Systems Integration concepts and experience utilizing them
  • Motivated self-starter with creative thinking and problem-solving skills
  • An advanced understanding of computer concepts
  • Proficiency in relational database concepts and query applications coding
  • High Proficiency with MS SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSMS)
  • SSAS is desirable, but not required
  • A clear understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work equally independently and/or as part of a team, managing multiple tasks, following direction for often changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
