Reports To: Crew Leader / Project Supervisor Employment Type: Full-Time / Hourly

Position Summary:

The Sports Court Applicator is responsible for the preparation, application, and finishing of athletic court surfaces including pickleball, tennis, basketball, and multi-purpose courts. This role involves working with coatings, paints, striping, and various surfacing materials to ensure high-quality, durable installations. Applicants should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare court surfaces by cleaning, patching, grinding, and leveling as needed
  • Apply resurfacing materials such as acrylic coatings, textured layers, and paint using squeegees, rollers, sprayers, and hand tools
  • Layout and tape lines based on official sport regulations
  • Apply game lines using striping machines, stencils, or hand tools
  • Operate and maintain application equipment (mixers, blowers, sprayers, etc.)
  • Ensure proper drying times, surface texture, and finish quality
  • Follow safety standards and always use proper PPE
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and company vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
  • Travel to various job sites as needed

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year experience in surface coatings, painting, or flooring preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to lift 50-75 lbs regularly and work in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable kneeling, bending, and standing for long periods
