What’s the Job?
Design custom industrial air-moving equipment to meet customer specifications and application requirements. Create and maintain manufacturing data within the ERP system, including bills of materials and related documentation. Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure project requirements, production schedules, and delivery deadlines are achieved. Review customer and sales feedback and revise designs as needed to support successful project execution and customer satisfaction.
Position Qualifications
The following qualifications reflect the foundational knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to effectively perform the essential functions of this position upon hire. Prior design or CAD experience is not required, as our design team provides training and development to help new employees succeed in the role. Familiarity with mechanical systems, manufacturing environments, or related processes is preferred but not required.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM
- Experience with 3D modeling and technical drawings
- Familiarity with ERP systems and bills of material management
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or fan design principles
- Knowledge of AirPro’s products, processes, and operational workflows
- AAS degree or prior experience in manufacturing, production, technical support, or engineering-related roles
Job Duties amp; Skills
To perform successfully in this role, employees are expected to competently execute the essential duties listed below. - Utilize SolidWorks to detail expectations for fans and related air handling accessories, including certified customer submittal drawings, while supporting on-time project execution and exceeding customer expectations
- Verify dimensional integrity, material selection, fit, function, and overall assembly relationships of designed components and systems with a focus on accuracy, quality, and continuous improvement
- Create and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for designed assemblies within the ERP system to support efficient manufacturing operations and profitability
- Process design revisions, engineering change requests, and corrective action requests in a timely, accurate, and solutions-focused manner
- Collaborate with manufacturing personnel to resolve design, drafting, and BOM-related issues while fostering respectful and mutually beneficial working relationships
- Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel to clarify order requirements, resolve issues, and help move projects forward efficiently
- Complete projects requiring detailed layouts, visualizations, and design calculations for AirPro products while demonstrating initiative, accountability, and decisive action when needed
- Demonstrate strong self-motivation, ownership of assigned work, and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation
- Support a positive team environment by sharing knowledge, answering questions, encouraging open communication, and treating others with respect
- Follow all required safety policies and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while in manufacturing areas to support a safe work environment for all employees
- Perform all job duties in a safe, honest, and responsible manner consistent with AirPro’s values and expectations
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of departmental goals and company objectives
Physical Requirements
This position primarily involves computer-based design and engineering work, including extended periods of screen time and desk work throughout the workday. Employees may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and may be required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or work in awkward positions while evaluating or resolving manufacturing or design-related issues. Work is primarily performed indoors in an office and manufacturing environment where noise levels may range from moderate to high.

- Engineering and design software including SolidWorks, PDM/vault systems, ERP systems, PDF/document management software, Microsoft Office applications, and supplier software tools
- Standard engineering, drafting, and measurement tools including calculators, tape measures, calipers, scales, and other tools used to support design verification and manufacturing collaboration
- Reference materials including engineering standards, product specifications, design data, and technical documentation as required to support assigned projects
