The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at CCC, you'll play a key role in building and supporting scalable SaaS and customer-facing web applications that help evolve our products and platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, delivering high-quality software, and seeing the impact of their work in production.
You'll work closely with product, architecture, and engineering teams to turn business needs into thoughtful technical solutions, while helping improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of our applications. In addition to contributing as an individual engineer, you'll share your technical knowledge and provide guidance to less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Translate business and functional requirements into scalable software designs and technical solutions.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain applications using modern technologies.
  • Independently deliver software features and enhancements with minimal supervision.
  • Analyze requirements, evaluate alternatives, and recommend appropriate technical approaches.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, application defects, and customer-reported concerns.
  • Analyze logs, monitoring tools, and application performance metrics to diagnose and resolve system issues.
  • Participate in code reviews and promote adherence to engineering standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Quality Engineers, and other software engineers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Contribute to application design discussions and provide input on architecture, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers.
  • Continuously improve software quality, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience.
  • Experience designing and developing business applications using object-oriented programming principles.
  • Strong proficiency in C# and SQL.
  • Experience designing and building RESTful APIs within Service Oriented and Microservice Architectures
  • Experience developing services using C# / .Net, using current frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of software design patterns and scalable application development.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and supporting production applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a cross-functional team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building SaaS or customer-facing web applications.
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments.
  • Understanding of relational database design, optimization, and performance tuning.
  • In depth experience with ElasticSearch or other non-SQL data stores.
  • Experience with stateful service development, such as with Microsoft Service Fabric.
  • Experience with application monitoring, observability, and logging frameworks.
  • Experience working within Agile development teams.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology, continuous learning, and delivering customer-focused solutions.
