Job description

Thompson Holdings is seeking an IT Technician to join our team. Primary responsibilities of this role are supporting day-to-day operations, end user support, and some server management.
Responsibilities
- Install and configure hardware and software components
- End user computer imaging, configuration, and set up
- Provide help desk support to end users to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Open and/or close trouble tickets on each call received
- Escalate problems and requests as necessary to ensure positive resolution
- Work closely with members of the IT team to troubleshoot network and systems issues, as well as respond to potential cyber threats
- Create, modify, and/or delete user and email accounts
- Perform routine maintenance on various IT equipment
- Mobile device support - tablets, smartphones, etc.
- Cabling installation and termination
- Maintain an increasing level of proficiency in hardware, software, networking and other technologies supported by the IT department
- Other duties, as assigned
- Occasional travel to branch and project offices
- Occasional after hours and weekend work
- Document and follow procedures and user guides
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment as needed
- Ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 - 3 years of experience in similar role
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
- Microsoft Cloud technology experience is a plus
- Experience troubleshooting systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
