Job description

We are looking for a talented Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for Maternity Leave position.

2 OPEN POSITIONS AVAILABLE:

1.

  • In-person SLP
  • Grade Level: K-5th grade
  • Estimated Caseload: 25-35 students
  • Weekly guaranteed Hours: 33.75 Hours
  • Start and End Date: 08/13/2025 through mid-September

2.

  • In-person SLP
  • Grade Level: K-5th grade
  • Estimated Caseload: 11 students
  • Other information: 2.5 days per week
  • Start and End Date: 8/15/2025 - 11/12/2025

Hourly Rate Range: $46.00-$54.00 per hour

Responsibilities would include:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate students' speech, language, and communication needs.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's requirements.
  • Provide direct therapy services in individual, small group, and classroom settings.
  • Address challenges related to articulation, fluency, voice, language comprehension and expression, and social communication.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and student progress in compliance with Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and IDEA guidelines.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, student evaluations, and provide consultation as needed.
  • Educate and support staff and parents on strategies to enhance communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) License.
  • Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist Endorsement.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
  • Fingerprint Clearance & Background Check required.
