The Behavioral Sleep Medicine Laboratory (P.I. Kelly Baron, PhD, MPH) is recruiting a full-time research staff member to join our passionate team to work with us on ongoing projects of sleep, cardiometabolic disease and aging in diverse populations. The position entails working with the team to conduct study activities such as screening and scheduling participants, participant retention, collecting data such as cognitive testing and questionnaires and maintaining study documentation. The position may involve supervision of undergraduate research assistants. All studies are outpatient (no overnights). Studies range from mechanistic to community engaged research on sleep and health and are conducted in Spanish and English.
The start date is immediate; the position will remain open until filled. This is a full-time position with excellent benefits, opportunities to learn and grow. You will be working in a thriving, collaborative research environment that conducts research with the goal of improving health through improving sleep and circadian rhythms.

Responsibilities

Collaborates with the study team to achieve objectives for an ongoing longitudinal study on aging, sleep, and memory. Responsibilities include conducting virtual participant visits, completing check-in activities, administering cognitive assessments, and accurately scoring results in accordance with established standards.
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills and the ability to effectively support older adults who require technical assistance to complete online tasks.
Schedules and conducts study assessments, including administration of questionnaires. and cognitive assessments, sleep measurement equipment set up and download.
Complies with ethical standards for research involving human subjects.
Completes other activities as delegated by the PI and the study coordinator.
Opportunities to contribute to scientific manuscripts and abstracts.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Department may hire employee at one of the following job levels:

Study Coordinator, II: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.


Preferences
Bachelor's or master's degree or training in a health-related field (e.g., nursing, social work, psychology, kinesiology, nutrition, counseling etc.), effective communication skills, some research experience required (this includes research in college and volunteer experience). Spanish speaking highly preferred for this position.
