Job description

Registered Nurse - Emergency and Critical Care

Location: Big Sky, Montana

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Variable nights, days, and weekends; 3-12 hour shifts.

Job Description: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team. This role involves planning and implementing patient and family education, assessing patient needs, and initiating appropriate interventions. The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care in emergency and critical care settings.

Responsibilities
  • Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or the situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses or issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for individualized patient care plans.
  • Develop and implement plans that prescribe strategies and alternatives to attain expected outcomes.
  • Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment.
  • Evaluate one's own nursing practice in relation to professional standards.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Comply with hospital policies related to care for stroke and trauma patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Current Montana Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
  • American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
  • National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification.
  • American Heart Association PALS or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course certification.
  • 1 year of emergency nursing or critical care experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
