Job description

Job Functions:
Live and embraces American Social Vision and Core Values
Reports to work on time and prepared for the shift
Follows all Image and Appearance standards
Has a positive attitude and provides the best service possible
Greets guests as they enter the restaurant
Seats guests, maintains the waiting list, and notifies waiting guests when seating is available
Utilizes seating system (i.e. Open Table) to ensure proper guest flow
Monitors reservations and properly communicates updates with managers and guests
Communicates with servers and managers regarding availability of tables, station assignments, seating of large parties, or special requests
Communicates with Table Assistants and Bussers and informs them of tables that need resetting
Ensures host area(s) is stocked with adequate supplies (menus, silverware, business cards, etc).
Inspects restrooms and lobby floors for cleanliness and cleans as necessary to maintain sanitation standards
Performs additional duties including participating in pre-shift meetings, rolling silverware, updating seating plans, maintaining floors, cleaning windows, and emptying trash
Has food and beverage knowledge and is able to answer questions regarding the menu
Answers telephone and provides directions, hours of operation, take-out orders, etc.
Assists other employees with stocking stations, bussing, sweeping, refilling water glasses, running food, wiping, cleaning, resetting tables, and taking/assembling take-out orders.
Supports restaurant maintenance by stocking supplies and keeping it clean and organized
Practices teamwork during all shifts and supports both FOH and BOH priorities
Works cohesively with all Team Members
Flexible to assist in other departments as requested
Works well under pressure
Follows the direction of the Managers on duty
Supports and follows all Marketing initiatives
Qualifications:
Minimum of 18 years of age
Ability to work Late Night shifts, potentially to between 12 AM - 3AM
Works assigned scheduled shifts
Alcohol Awareness Certification (i.e Serv Save, TIPs, etc) a plus
Food handling certificate a plus
Fluent in English; able to speak, read, write
Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy
Ability to transport items up to 30 pounds
Remain in stationary position for up to 4 hours throughout work shift
Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding
Must be available to work weekends and holidays
