HPE's Private Cloud AI organization is looking for a Senior Cloud Developer to support our AI Essentials product. HPE AI Essentials is a software solution within HPE's Private Cloud AI platform designed to accelerate AI productivity and streamline AI operations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop major aspects of our product: you will be expected to take on difficult problems that don't have clear solutions, and to design, build, and iterate until we've reached elegant solutions that delight our customers. • Drive CI/CD best practices for deploying and managing cloud-native services.

  • Act as a technical reference point for less experienced team members; provide code reviews and guidance.

  • Contribute to architectural discussions and help evaluate and integrate new technologies into the platform.

  • Work closely with product managers and engineers to ensure efficient delivery in a hybrid team setup.

Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Must have 1 to 5 years of professional experience in cloud or platform engineering roles.

  • Hands-on experience with Git, GNU Make, and CI/CD pipelines

Nice to Haves

  • Experience with public cloud platforms and managed services (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Familiarity with databases and storage systems (e.g., Postgres, Redis, object storage).

    • Cert-Manager (TLS certificates)

    • Istio (mTLS, authN/authZ)

    • Kyverno (policy enforcement and admission control)

    • MetalLB (load balancing)

    • Prometheus (monitoring and observability)

  • Working Knowledge of KVM Virtualization

  • Prior Experience with application backup/restore tools ( Velero, Kasten)

  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs.
