We develop machines with deep comprehension and vast data access to guide humans to the optimal decisions over large numbers of claims.  Our training data includes all parts of historical insurance claims, as well as data we source externally such as medical, weather, geographic, demographic demographic and court data. Our findings are presented in intuitive products to streamline the claim investigation process. The result is potential savings in the hundreds of millions, increased fairness and added precision to insurance pricing.

We are founded by a senior Google AI expert and a Bridgewater Associates Algorithmic Investor & Stanford MBA. We're not looking for employees. Job Description

Who are you? A rockstar tech lead full stack engineer responsible for the entire life cycle of designing, building and launching state of the art enterprise applications. You thrive in autonomy and do your best work in greenfield projects where you have high levels of ownership. You're extremely creative and often bring new ideas to the table spontaneously. 

You're a natural-born hacker who can rapidly build prototypes to prove out ideas, but take pride in holding extremely high standards when developing production level code. You design highly modular architectures, understand the value of code reviews and take pride in writing professional technical design documents when input from others is needed. You exercise state of the art engineering practices in testing and deployment and know the right balance between moving fast and breaking things.

You love working directly with the head of product, data science team, UX designer, and occasionally non-technical end users. You're a great listener and enjoy presenting technical ideas to a technical and non-technical audience alike.

You'll be working as part of a team of experts from Google and Bloomberg to secure the reputation as the most trusted and elite enterprise development organization in the industry. You'll do this by exercising state of the art practices in security, scalability, stability and speed.

The applications you'll be building will deliver machine learning insights and workflows to our users in a beautiful, intuitive UX. We'll make their jobs more fun, more productive, more effective and deliver more fairness across the board.

You will have a key role in shaping the future of Evolution IQ's products. From technology choices to building the roadmap, you will have a large amount of ownership and scope in this role. The team will look to you to provide crucial technical expertise and help prioritize features.

Qualifications

The ideal person for this role should have extensive experience going through the full feature development life cycle: from working with product managers to decide scope, designing a database schema for representing the data, considering the serving needs, working with designers to figure out UX, implementing the interface, and finally maintaining the feature/system.

Design, build and launch state of the art enterprise backend and frontend architectures that support multi-tenant, multi-user scenarios in a secure, scalable way with Python and Postgres

Build beautiful, intuitive UX with React

Work within, and contribute to the core platform codebase

Work directly with the head or product, data science group as the technical application owner during design and development

Remain agile and move between rapid prototyping and stable production development

Maintain extreme levels of enterprise grade quality utilizing state of the art practices in security, scalability, lighting fast performance, and visual UX quality

Write professional design documents, perform code reviews, and maintain state of the art engineering practices in day to day work

Tell stories with data by building rich, intuitive data visualizations

Builds deeply intuitive understanding of the user journeys

Builds roadmaps and delivers features at a fast pace

Has acted as technical lead or senior engineer with major contribution in designing, building, and shipping complex enterprise apps using React, Python and Postgres

Solid fundamental computer science skills with 5+ years of fulltime industry experience

Expert data architect accustomed to solving complex, multi dimensional problems with advanced usage of relational databases, data assets and DAG pipelines in Python and Postgres

Versed in working with big data and solving applied big data problems

Expert developer who uses writes clean, efficient, easy to understand code with unit tests, functional design patterns

Expert in creating beautiful UI and fluid UX with React

Expert in designing data schemas, ingesting and processing large data streams

Comfortable working within cloud environments
