Job description

Your Career, Unlimited Potential
Our exceptional, well-established audiology practice is seeking a full-time Hearing Aid Technician to join our patient-centered team. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, compassionate, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced setting with a can-do attitude-ready to jump in wherever needed. You'll regularly travel between our Monroeville, Penn Hills, and Harmarville offices and work a 5-day-a-week, 8-hour schedule (Monday-Friday). Our team is dedicated to superior patient care in a friendly, upbeat environment.
We're looking for someone who brings a smile, tackles obstacles cheerfully, stays organized, communicates clearly, and is comfortable with technology. You should be able to work independently and collaborate closely with others-all while showing genuine compassion for our patients. Reliable transportation is required.
Why work for us?
Top Reasons
  • Join a locally owned, well-respected practice founded in 1949.
  • Be part of a talented team that nimbly leads industry changes.
  • Intensely patient-centered care.
  • A rewarding healthcare career you'll be proud of, not just a job.
  • Competitive compensation and outstanding benefits, with rapid growth potential.
  • Enthusiastic team spirit, efficient protocols, and strong management support.
  • Set schedule: 5 days per week x 8 hours per day (no evenings/weekends).
  • We promote from within and are genuinely loyal to our team members
Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Hearing aid care: Clean, check, and perform minor in-office repairs; conduct otoscopy and listening checks.
  • Patient support: Deliver basic device counseling (daily wear/care, feedback/whistling tips); pair HAs to phones/apps/accessories; provide quick "how-to" guides (Apple/Android).
  • Troubleshooting & repairs: Triage devices; complete in-warranty fixes or coordinate manufacturer repairs; for out-of-warranty items, invoice and ship to manufacturer.
  • Check-ins & updates: Check in new HAs and remove from sleep mode; update firmware; replace rechargeable batteries and record serial changes in Counsel Ear (CE).
  • Clinic readiness: Stock domes, filters, batteries, specula, wipes, and other supplies in tech and provider rooms; clean equipment (UV filters/tubing/vac tips); keep booth cords organized.
  • Operations support: Send/track orders, repairs, and returns; maintain patient files and assist with clerical tasks; help Office Managers with inventory, light cleaning of waiting areas, shredding, stuffing envelopes, and preparing test-drive folders.
  • Appointment prep: Assemble superbills and ensure rooms are stocked.
  • Team mindset: Proactively ask, "Can I help the provider and take a patient for them?" when appropriate.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel; comfortable learning clinical software (e.g., Counsel Ear).
  • Comfort with smartphones/Bluetooth and basic technical troubleshooting.
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a patient-facing setting.
  • Reliable transportation for daily travel between Monroeville, Penn Hills, and Harmarville.

More than just competitive pay and benefits, our total package supports you professionally, personally, and financially-because we believe you're at your best when you have what you need to thrive. We offer a competitive hourly rate, commission, profit sharing, training provided, paid time off, paid holidays and healthcare (paid in part by the practice).
