Responsible for overseeing all mining operations during assigned shifts, ensuring safety compliance, coordinating with other supervisors, managing production schedules, and addressing personnel issues. Provides exceptional leadership and direction through coaching, mentorship, supervision and development with a focus on a safe and inclusive environment

Work Experience:
1. 2-5 years' experience in a similar role.
 

Knowledge Required: 
1. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Ability to multitask and work effectively.
3. Ability to safely use and handle a variety of tools, equipment, and materials. 
4. Ability to work efficiently as part of a team as well as independently.
5. Ability to read and understand engineering prints (civil work, structural work, rock excavation work).
6. Ability to work as part of a project planning team.
7. Previous quality experience is required.
8. MSHA Underground miner training would be considered an asset.
9. Underground Mining experience would be an asset as would knowledge of applicable mine regulations pertaining to construction in mining. 
10.Must be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform his duties in a safe and efficient manner.

1. Ability to pass background clearance check, drug screening and physical.
2. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
3. Ability to prepare written reports and correspondence.
4. Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

1. Complies with and ensure compliance with Redpath's Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals, handbooks, directives, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
2. Oversee and manage all mining operations during assigned shifts.
3. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
4. Coordinate with other supervisors and managers to optimize production schedules.
5. Train and mentor staff on operational procedures and safety measures.
6. Monitor equipment performance and address any issues promptly.
7. Report on shift activities, including production metrics and safety incidents.
8. Collaborate with maintenance team to schedule repairs and maintenance activities.
9. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
10.Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
11.Address any personnel issues or conflicts within the shift team.
12.If required to operate a company vehicle during the course of employment, must meet the requirements to be an eligible user of company vehicles. Must possess a current State Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
13.Manages employee performance and adherence to the Company's policies and procedures.
14.Ensure that training is provided to meet with the current and future needs of the mine.
15.Responsible for the hiring, evaluation, commendation, training, disciplinary action, and dismissals regarding supervised staff.
16.Comply with daily, weekly, and monthly safety directives, policies, and procedures.
17.Maintain confidentiality with respect to Redpath and client information.
18.Able to work in excess of 40 hours a week, overtime, day and nights, weekends, holidays and shift rotations.
19.Compliance with Redpath Core Competencies is an essential duty and responsibility.
