AMSURG Anesthesia is committed to providing safety and comfort to our patients. Central to this effort is securing Certified Registered Anesthetists who contribute to our mission of quality healthcare and patient satisfaction. CRNAs evaluate patients’ health history, manage and monitor airway, administer a personalized sedation plan tailored to the procedure, and supervise recovery.

Job Summary

AMSURG Anesthesia is seeking a Full Time CRNA to perform eye blocks at our Springfield, MA Center. The center is open Monday to Thursday, with no nights, call, or weekends. The center operates under a Care Team model.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform eye blocks and assess patients for surgical procedures.
  • Provide anesthesia for a variety of cases including ENT, pediatric (ages 6 months and up), orthopedics, pain, spine, podiatry, and plastic surgery.
  • Manage patient’s airway and administer sedation plans tailored to each procedure.
  • Supervise patient recovery and ensure post‑operative safety.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of School of Nursing.
  • RN with active, unrestricted state license (in appropriate state).
  • Graduate of a nurse anesthesia educational program accredited by the AANA Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.
  • Current certification from AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Current BLS/ACLS certification.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a CRNA.
  • Strong ethical and moral character.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Experience with eye block procedures.
  • Comfortable with ENT and pediatric cases.
