Position Title: Security Officer

Location: San Antonio, Texas 78216

Schedule: Part-Time

Saturday - 7:00PM to 7:00AM

Sunday - 7:00PM to 7:00AM

United Protective Services is seeking a dependable and professional Overnight Security Officer to join our team. This position will primarily be assigned to foot patrol ensuring the safety and security of the property, tenants, and visitors.

This role is ideal for individuals who are alert, customer-service driven, and comfortable working independently while maintaining a strong visible presence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and patrol parking lots, commercial properties, and surrounding areas

  • Conduct routine rover patrols throughout the property

  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns

  • Provide a visible security presence to deter unwanted behavior

  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls as needed

  • Assist tenants, guests, and staff with directions or support

  • Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation accurately

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Professional appearance and demeanor (no neck, face, or below-the-wrist tattoos)

  • Ability to stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in corporate, commercial, or Class A office building security

  • Experience with visitor management systems and access control software

  • Military or law enforcement background is a plus

Ideal Candidate

  • Highly reliable with strong attendance and punctuality

  • Flexible and willing to pick up additional shifts as needed

  • Resides within reasonable distance of assigned site
