Job description

Overview

The Security Escort is required to accompany/escort those visitors/construction contractors without a security clearance to ensure no inadvertent disclosure or breach of security at the Russell Knox Building. For non-cleared visitors-primarily maintenance, delivery, construction, janitorial crews in secure spaces (SCIF and Secret Open Storage spaces), or other service personnel-security escort are required. 

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine and random patrols to include perimeter door checks. Routes shall be varied in order not to establish a pattern.
  • Conduct perimeter patrol by inspecting the entire perimeter fence at least monthly and submit workorders through FSMD's work control system to have the fence repaired (when necessary).
  • Provide traffic, parking, and pedestrian control services.
  • Enforce personnel identification procedures as prescribed by FSMD directives and policies. Security staff shall conduct verbal warnings, as required, to ensure employee conformance to proper display of badges.
  • Escorts shall carry a radio, which will be Government Furnished Equipment, always when not actively escorting in a secure space.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Top Secret clearance required.
  • Minimum of one year of relevant work experience.
