Job Title: Groups Associate
Department: Engagement Team
Reports To: Groups Manager, Engagement
Hours: Part Time, Thursday - Saturday
Pay: $16.50/hr
POSITION SUMMARY
Leverage your customer service and sales skills to drive group attendance to Arizona Science Center!
The Groups Associate is the welcoming interface between Groups guests and Arizona Science Center, providing visitors with opportunities to engage with and fully experience all that we offer from start to finish. The Groups Associate is responsible for reservations and communications with groups of 15 or more, including school groups. They demonstrate consistent, timely, and exceptional customer service that provides a safe, organized, and professional entry and departure experience. They help to create positive customer reviews and referrals as measured by sales, surveys, return visits, and customer feedback. They will utilize best practices that reflect Arizona Science Center's brand and deliver a positive experience for every group and guest.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Sales and Bookings
    • Helps to ensure attendance and revenue goals are met or exceeded through group sales
    • Receives and processes all inbound booking requests, with support of designated Group Sales and Service Team Members
    • Upsell groups to encourage purchasing of Add on Workshops
    • Models extraordinary customer service and highly effective selling skills across all offerings
  • Communication with Groups
    • Serves as the contact for responding to group inquiries, questions, and booking visits of 15 or more guests
    • Responsible for confirming and communicating group visit details, including guest count, schedule, payment, and planned activities
    • Communicate with booked groups before, during, and after their groups visit to ensure excellent customer service
  • Field Trip Arrival & Departure
    • Assists with daily opening procedures as needed for group arrivals, including printing stickers, calling groups, etc
    • Greets buses outdoors to ensure smooth entry process
  • Internal Collaboration
    • Builds strong partnerships and interacts daily with Arizona Science Center team members, especially those who directly engage with the guest experience
    • Collaborate with teams as needed for add-on experiences, group check-ins, etc.
  • Other duties to support Arizona Science Center, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Represents the Center professionally in dealing with the public
• Able to work a varied schedule, including holidays and weekends as needed
• Able to work both indoors and outdoors as needed by the position
• Bi-lingual in Spanish is preferred but not required
